Find the Optimal Surface
Before ordering your new home decor items, it's a good idea to find a spot where you want the products to be placed. This gives you the chance to find the most optimal surface for the product, which extends both its durability and lifespan. What is a good surface? The absolute best surfaces: Tiles & lacquered or veneered board materials.
Surfaces to avoid: Wallpaper/fabric, uneven/rough surfaces, and moisture-resistant wallpaper.
The reason tiles are one of the best surfaces for the products is that they are fixed to the wall and often have a smooth, glossy surface that helps 3M tape achieve optimal adhesion. The same principle applies to lacquered and veneered board materials. These are also two materials/surfaces that do not cause damage if you want to remove and replace the details in the future.
If you attach the products to a wall that is wallpapered or textured, there is a risk that both the product and the material will come off when the product is loaded. When fixing to rough or uneven surfaces, the tape's adhesive ability is compromised, making it harder for the tape to make full contact with the surface. Surfaces like moisture-resistant wallpaper tend to warp, making it more difficult for the tape to adhere.
Find Your New Bathroom Accessories
Once you have found the optimal surface and location for your new decor items, it's time to get inspired and discover your new favorites! In the menu, you will find our bathroom accessories. Once inside the category, you can choose to filter by color/material, product type, or if you are interested in a specific product line. We offer a wide range of products that attach with self-adhesive tape, such as hooks, toilet paper holders, shelves, towel hangers, and soap pump holders.
Preparation
1. Placement of Bathroom Accessories
Decide where you want your accessories to be placed, then use a level or other tool to ensure that the installation is straight. This is especially important when installing towel bars and shelves. If you want to mount the product on different tiles, it's important to check that the tiles are at the same level and have the same angle to ensure an even weight distribution. This will give you the best possible result and durability of the product.
We do not recommend placing products over grout lines.
2. Cleaning the Surface
Clean the surface thoroughly with a cleaning wipe that effectively removes dirt, grease, and other unwanted particles. By cleaning the surface, you provide the product with the best conditions for optimal adhesion.
Installation of Self-Adhesive Bathroom Accessories
1. Remove the protective film
2. Place the product where you want it on the cleaned surface, apply pressure to the product, and try to maintain even pressure for about 10 seconds.
3. For the product to achieve optimal adhesion, we recommend allowing the adhesive to set for at least 24 hours before applying any load to the product.
4. After 24 hours, the product is ready to use!
Can you use the shower shelf in the shower?
- Absolutely! It can be used in the shower for shampoo, conditioner, and soap. You can also place it in other areas of the bathroom where you want some extra storage or as a nice detail for candles or perfumes.
Is the shower shelf water-resistant?
- Yes, indeed! It is water-resistant! However, our tip is not to install the shower shelf over grout lines because there is a risk that water could get behind the shelf and affect the adhesion.
Where can you use a soap pump holder?
- Almost anywhere you like! In the shower, by the sink, or why not in the kitchen for soap and dishwashing liquid? The uses are many!
How large is the hole for the soap pump?
- The hole has a diameter of 28mm, which is the standard size for pump bottles. It would be ideal if all pump bottles had the same size, but unfortunately, they do not.
FUN FACT!
- We have both soap pumps and soaps from Five Oceans and Meraki that fit perfectly in our soap pump holders. Did you know that our soap pump holders come in three different finishes? Yes, indeed—matte black, stainless steel, and chrome!
If I am moving and want to remove my bathroom accessories, how can I do it without damaging the walls?
- Easy! One tip is to warm up the tape with a hairdryer; this will make it release more easily. Alternatively, use a fishing line to "slide behind" the product.
Do you sell extra tape for your 3M products? I would like to move my shelf.
- Currently, we unfortunately do not sell extra tape as a spare on our website, but we hope to have a solution in the future.
